After inspecting the access modifications to my new home, I settled on 8 January as the move-in date. Then I took stock of my progress. No stress. No fade-outs.”

On 20 December 2025, I walked into my father’s home, pictured above. It was the first day without him.
As I rifled through Greg’s papers and photos, I felt like I was searching for my father in the empty rooms.
Yet somehow I seemed to find a different person, someone much more than the person he was as a Dad.
I don’t think I ever knew my father’s height. He was in a wheelchair long before I was born.
